Do you want to see yourself change through the Toastmasters program? Renew your membership this month! As your club treasurers begin to collect dues for the October renewal, let’s address the slight dues increase.

Toastmasters International has raised the cost of membership. But not by much! Their reasons are valid and the details can be found here.
Many can’t bear to add any more expenses to the family budget; but here are a few points to shed light on the dues increase. These ideas were submitted by the members of your Board of Directors.

For the Math Head

Look at it from a numbers point-of-view!

Normally, a member pays roughly $1.27 per meeting (annual dues of $66 divided by 52 weeks in a year). With the cost increase, a member pays $1.62 per meeting (annual dues of $84 divided by 52 weeks).

 

Bottom Line: the growth opportunities are priceless

 

For the Logical Thinker

 

Have you ever attended a professional development conference? An impressive communication seminar? Those kinds of events cost hundreds of dollars and often aren’t worth your while. You deserve a venue like Toastmasters where you can set and meet goals, receive valuable feedback, and make friends! The cost is incomparable to those fancy workshops.

Bottom Line: It’s the Best Buck you’ll ever spend learning to communicate effectively!

 

For the Rising Star!

How can you become a better leader & communicator without effort? If you want to see change in yourself, you have to “put in” some change. The increase in cost is a drop in the bucket compared to how much we learn in our weekly meetings. Where else are you going to find quality education? Don’t pass up the opportunity to change your life through your Toastmasters club.

Bottom Line: the support of Toastmasters is extraordinarily unique

First, a big thanks goes to the Midday Madness Club (#6220 in Albuquerque) for putting together this wonder look at the dues increase.  They sent this out to their own members and then allowed us to publish the document for the rest of District 23’s membership.

Second, along with the renewals, District 23 is offering an incentive to all clubs that are in good standing by September 30th.  Any club achieving this will receive a module from the Better Speaker, Successful Club, or Leadership Excellence series.  Clubs achieving this feat by Sept 14th will receive two modules.
