Good afternoon. Yesterday we had great success with the Toastmasters booth during the Lubbock Chamber’s Business Expo! Over 500 information cards were passed out to expo attendees and exhibitors that had each club’s info. Contact information from over 200 individuals was collected. I will send out information next week on the follow up process. I would appreciate you letting me know if you have people visit your club as a result of the Expo.
This event was successful due to the efforts of many individuals. I would like to give special thanks to:
- Valerie Cochran, organized many of the booth displays and printed the information cards (over 800 printed)
- Josh Mathis, a new member of TM, designed the information cards
- Kerry Mobley, organized the volunteers to man the booth. She also brought the Banners back from the last District Conference to display in the booth
- South Plains Club, donated the gift basket that encouraged many to drop their business card
In addition, our booth volunteers were the face of Toastmasters to the Lubbock Business community and without them this event would not have been a success:
- Julian Hooker
- Ben Mercado
- Cliff Colvin
- Serena Stevenson
- Melanie Perez
- Jaime Engler
- Charlie Rowten
- Taryn Colvin
- Kathy Puryear
- Andrea Garcia
- Ryan Van Dusen
- Jeff Conn
- Victoria Xiong
I am excited about our relationship with the Lubbock Chamber and will keep you abreast of opportunities to use the membership over the next several months. I will send out the $40 invoice to each club next week.
