Lubbock, TX, Toastmaster Jessica Haseltine and her teammates took the top two spots at a the National Entertainment Law Negotiation Competition in Los Angeles earlier this month. Featuring 24 teams from across the country, Jessica and her teammate, along with another Texas Tech University (TTU) team received perfect scores in the preliminary rounds to advance to the four-team championship.
Jessica and her teammate Sara Norman (left to right in the picture) came in a VERY close #2 in the final round to the other TTU team of Juliet Azarani and Luke Calhoun (on the right side of the picture) who took first. Congratulations Jessica!

Fresh off their second-place finish at the National Entertainment Law Negotiation Competition last month, Toastmaster Jessica Haseltine and fellow law student Sara Norma, emerged from the preliminary rounds of the ABA (American Bar Association) Negotiation Competition this past weekend in New Orleans as the top seed, and then received unanimous #1 rankings from the final round judges to claim the championship.
Perhaps more importantly, Jessica and Sara now advance to the competition’s national finals, which will take place in Dallas in February.
