Albuquerque Toastmaster Aaron Brundage was named a 2013 Black Engineer of the Year in Research Science Emerald Honoree in the category of Most Promising Scientist – Government.
A Toastmasters since 2006, Aaron is a member of two clubs, Duke City Toastmasters and Kirtland Toastmasters, both in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a Distinguished Area Governor in 2007-8 and helped form two clubs. One club idea was spawned from talking over his back fence with a neighbor. That club resulted in Cherry Hills, a club made up of primarily Asian engineers at Sandia (another successful English-as-a-Second-Language club.)
Aaron received his Distinguished Toastmaster award in January 2012.
“Aaron is a great guy, a true gentleman, and a wonderful example of a Toastmaster,” said TK O’Geary, Past (Distinguished) District Governor 2012-13.
