We are currently beginning the Talk Up Toastmasters promotion to increase membership. It runs from Feb 1 to March 31.
Due to numerous comments about Gift Certificates for clubs, we are going to try a different tack this time. Every member who sponsors two new members to their Toastmasters clubs will receive a $5.00 gift certificate to the Toastmasters store. This will apply to each two members signed up so if any member sponsors ten new members they will get $25.00 in reward.
We are also looking at special awards for any club that has a net gain of five new members or achieves charter strength of twenty members by March 31. If any of you have suggestions for this award please forward them to me so I can discuss them with Don and Bay. As soon as we come up with these awards I will notify all clubs via another T-Mail message.
Let’s have a great start to 2011 and sign up a lot of new members. With 97 active clubs in the district I’d like to see over 200 new members or approximately two per club.
I know you can do it so let’s get started! Any chance we can get four per club? Now that’s a challenge.
One final note, if you sponsor a new member be sure to put your membership information on the application. You wouldn’t want one of your officers getting credit for your accomplishment now would you!
