District 23 is pleased to announce the 2013-2014 candidates for District 23. This year District Governor TK O’Geary, DTM, asked our nominating chair – Jana Barnhill, Distinguished Toastmaster, Accredited Speaker, Past International President – to engage the committee in the full nomination process for the elected positions including candidate interviews. After spending hours on preliminary work, interviews, discussion, and voting, the team delivered!
The nominating committee, who focused on presenting the best slate possible for the good of the district, delivered the report below.
District Council Members
District Council members (Club President, Club Vice President, or District Council member) have the important responsibility of voting on District business including District 23 officers for next year.
The District Council meeting is April 27 at the Spring conference in Lubbock. If you are a District Council member and are unable to attend, please authorize a proxy to carry your vote. Proxy information can be found on the District 23 website, Downloads for Club Officers (click here). Note that each Toastmaster may carry up to 2 votes. Members of the District Executive Committee each get a vote and may, therefore, carry up to 3 votes.
